Q You should have read about by now. You also should have read a little bit about the Constitutional amendments. Now, you need to synthesize all of that reading. What were the Constitutional issues in the court cases you read about? What interesting controversies does this lead you to think about? What are the related issues? Share these ideas in this discussion. First, tell everyone what cases interest you. Also, tell them what amendments relate to those cases. Then tell everyone what other controversies this makes you think of and which ones interest you most.

I have gone through several cases of the Supreme Court and out of all the cases, I am particularly inquisitive about cases that have violated the first amendment because I do not support any sort of discriminatory behavior. Therefore, I selected the case of Texas Monthly, Inc. V. Bullock, 489 U.S. 1 (1989). The Texas Law defined that the religious publishers are excused from submitting the sales tax. However, Texas Monthly, a magazine publisher was not listed in the exemption list. Due to this reason, Texas Monthly sued the State stating the tax exemption based on religious and non-religious publisher is a violation of the Establishment Clause mentioned in the First Amendment.
